Bachelor & Graduate Programs offer students throughout New Mexico and beyond the opportunity to achieve a UNM degree without leaving their community. Students may complete the requirements for a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree with UNM Online and ITV (Interactive Webcasting) courses. Over twenty degree completion program options are available.
Around New Mexico, student success is supported with advisement provided on-site at our Education Centers, located at select community colleges and UNM’s own branch campuses.
With built-in flexibility for the student’s choice of best time and place to learn, UNM Online courses offer convenience and greater access to a UNM degree for students at Albuquerque main campus as well as other locations. Core and upper division classes are developed in collaboration with and taught by UNM faculty.
Online students enjoy interaction with their instructors and fellow students through online chats, discussion boards, email, and other tools featured in Blackboard Learn. Students meet for class times through Interactive Webcasting (ITV), an online classroom.
UNM Continuing Education (UNMCE) offers non-credit courses, certificates and custom training in Professional Development and information technology. Personal Enrichment courses include arts, travel, languages, fitness, cooking and more.
Osher is a membership learning community for ages 50 and up. Quality classes and camps for children and teenagers are offered by the Youth Program. The Early Childhood Services Center helps New Mexico communities to address early childhood care and education.
UNM Extended Learning provides alternative means to higher educational opportunities. This can be particularly important to non-traditional students, as well as meeting the greater expectations of traditional students in the fast, nimble pace of a mobile world.
For many adult learners, the key question is, “Can I really do this?” Success stories show that it can be done, and the positive difference Extended Learning makes in the lives of students, their families, and their communities.
